Job Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Rug Cleaner to join our team. This is a physically demanding role that involves cleaning area rugs using specialized equipment, spotting and treating stains, and handling heavy materials in a hot production environment. The primary role (Rug cleaning) is part time, one day a week.  Candidates who need more hours and are willing to learn may also be cross trained in other production tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and transport rugs from the main plant to the cleaning facility.

• Inspect rugs for stains, spots, or areas needing extra attention before and after machine cleaning.

• Manually treat and clean problem areas with appropriate cleaning solutions.
• Operate rug cleaning machines to wash rugs thoroughly.
• Hang rugs to dry, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
• Transport cleaned rugs back to the main plant for final delivery or customer pickup.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy rugs (often over 50 lbs).

• Comfortable working in a physically demanding and hot environment.

• Strong attention to detail; able to identify and properly treat spots and stains.

• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Prior experience in a production or cleaning environment is a plus, but not required.

• Must have reliable transportation to travel between plant and cleaning facility if needed.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.

• Standing and walking for extended periods.

• Exposure to heat and moisture in cleaning area.
